FACILITY INFORMATION
The Bow Valley Ranch Visitor Centre offers three areas for group activities: a theatre, a fireplace and an exhibit area. Washrooms, a water fountain and coat hooks are available for group use. There are no cooking facilities available. The centre is wheelchair accessible.

SITE INFORMATION
The area surrounding the visitor centre moves from cultivated lawn to natural grasslands. Fish Creek and its riverine forest are a five minute walk south of the visitor centre. Access to the creek is via a paved trail, though snow is not removed during the winter. The historic Bow Valley Ranch house and its associated buildings, a bunkhouse and cookhouse, add an historic interest to the site. The public does not have access to the interiors of these historic structures.

School groups may eat their lunch on the lawn area outside or inside the visitor centre, if the weather is inclement. The closest picnic area with tables and firepits is Hull's Wood, a 15 minute walk south of the centre. Washrooms at Hull's Wood are open all year round. Please remember to bring your own firewood, roasting sticks and a bucket to fill with water to extinguish your fire.

There is a large parking lot close to the Bow Valley Ranch Visitor Centre. Car break-ins do occur in this area. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES INSIDE YOUR VEHICLE.
