Fishing Regulations

Rules and Regulations | Permits

Everyone 16 years and older MUST have a current Alberta sportfishing licence to fish in any Alberta provincial park. Alberta residents 65 years or older are exempt from this requirement. These licences can be obtained at most sporting goods suppliers.

There are two water bodies within the park that contain fish: Fish Creek and the Bow River. Following are some of the main regulations that apply to portions of these waters that are inside the park boundaries. A copy of the Alberta Guide To Sportfishing Regulations can be obtained at the vendor when buying a sportfishing licence or at an Alberta Sustainable Resources Development office (403-297-6423). With any of the trout limits, remember that the Bull trout catch limit is 0 province wide.
