33 000 B.C. - Fish Creek Valley covered by a glacier 
   6500 B.C. - People arrive in Fish Creek Valley 
   2500 B.C. - First known use of buffalo jumps and pounds in the valley 
    200 A.D. -  Bow and arrow introduced 
  1730 A.D. -  First horse in the valley 
  1735 A.D. -  First guns used in Fish Creek Valley 
  1800 A.D. -  Last use of buffalo jumps in the valley 
  1873 A.D. -  Glenns arrive: the first European settlers in the Bow River - Fish Creek Valley 
  1875 A.D. -  North West Mounted Police arrive at the of the Bow and Elbow  rivers 
  1876 A.D. -  Glenn and Livingstone plant first grain crops 
  1879 A.D. -  Glenn begins Alberta's first irrigation project 
  1883 A.D. -  Shaws arrive in Fish Creek Valley 
  1889 A.D. -  Shaws' woolen mill begins operation - first industry in Alberta 
  1896 A.D. -  William Roper Hull builds Bow Valley Ranche House 
  1902 A.D. -  Pat Burns buys Bow Valley Ranche 
  1975 A.D. -  Fish Creek Provincial Park officially opens
