1. The absence of element occurrences in the Alberta Conservation Information Management System (ACIMS) data accessible from this site does not indicate that occurrences do not exist in this area, the absence of records could indicate that very few inventories/surveys have been done in this part of the province.
2. ACIMS no longer includes vertebrate records in response to data requests. For information on vertebrates in your search area, be sure to check the Fisheries and Wildlife Management Information System (FWMIS).
3. The spatial map should be used as general reference only. This is because the base features, grid lines and other features may have variable accuracy.
4. The Table of Results for Element Occurrences and the downloadable files are as accurate as available in ACIMS and this is the location information that should be used, not the visual reference.
5. While every effort has been made to ensure that the information accessible from this site is complete, accurate, and current, the Government of Alberta, their agents and employees are not liable for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from the possession, publication, or use of, or reliance on, that information. Users must regularly check the website for updates to ensure the information used in reports or regulatory applications is as up-to-date as possible.
