- Explore Alberta Parks magazine

In 2011, Explore Kananaskis Country & The Ghost Area magazine evolved into Explore Alberta Parks magazine. Everything you need to know for planning an outing into the provincial parks of Alberta can be found in the magazine.

Explore Alberta Parks is available FREE at visitor centres and businesses across Alberta, and beyond.

 


Explore Alberta Parks 2011 Edition, 9.875" by 12", 80 pages full-colour, maps with relief shading, stunning photos, up-to-date information, 200,000 copies distributed throughout more than 500 selected locations.

Explore Alberta Parks, the only official and free guide will be read by an estimated five hundred thousand visitors to Alberta parks. 200,000 copies of this souvenir guide are circulating, since March 30th, 2011. Readers will refer to it regularly.

- Explore Kananaskis Country fold-out map

 

For more than 15 years, Alberta Parks has published a magazine entitled Explore Kananaskis Country, the Ghost Area and Fish Creek Provincial Park. After long consideration, Alberta Parks has decided to develop a suite of products to better meet the needs of park visitors. This suite includes a new magazine called Explore Alberta Parks (see above) and a Kananaskis Country fold-out map called Explore Kananaskis Country.

The Explore Kananaskis Country fold-out map is a large (25.25” by 37”) full-colour, a perfect companion to Explore Alberta Parks, 50 000 copies have been printed.
It features a large detailed map of Kananaskis Country on one side and inset maps, campgrounds information and more, on the other.

Bluerock Creek Trail

The Bluerock Creek Trail follows one of several tributary streams of the Sheep River and leads to the site of an old sawmill camp. Such sites are not rare in these stream valleys. Many stories survive from the days when lumber camps operated on Bluerock Creek, Dyson Creek, and Junction Creek.

Interpretive Songs from Kananaskis Country is an audio CD that was produced in 2001 with funding from The Friends of Kananaskis Country. There are 15 songs on the CD and lyrics are included. Now families can sing along to interpretive songs back at home.
