Spend the night in one of five campgrounds or three secluded group-use areas - or enjoy the comforts of the Blue Lake Centre. The campgrounds in William A. Switzer offer a wide range of services from secluded and rustic sites along Jarvis Creek to more modern sites at Gregg Lake. View the park map.


CAMPGROUNDS
Five uniquely located campgrounds providing over 200 sites with varying levels of service, including opportunities for year-round camping. The summer operating season runs from May to September.

Campground Listings:

Gregg Lake, Power sites $27.00/night; non-power sites $21.00/night;
• 124 basic sites

• 40 sites with electricity (summer operating season only)
• All sites at Gregg Lake Campground can be reserved by calling 780-865-5152, or 1-877-537-2757, and online at: Reserve.AlbertaParks.ca
• Winter camping available in L loop.

Campsite reservations are accepted at Gregg Lake campground only. All other campgrounds in the park are available by self registration on a first-come first serve basis.


Cache, $21.00/night;

Graveyard/Halfway, $21 / night
• 8 rustic random camping sites located in an open meadow near lakes and a creek
• No winter camping available

Jarvis Lake, $21 / night
• 24 sites located on Jarvis Lake with a beach and dock nearby
• Winter camping available

Group Use Campground Listings:

Pine Bay, $12.00 non-refundable reservation fee; $155.00/night first 5 units; $21.00/night each additional unit; $70 day use
• secluded lake-front area on Jarvis Lake with beach nearby
• 10 tent pads and 10 unit R.V. parking area

open from early May until first snowfall.

Beaver Ranch, $12.00 non-refundable reservation fee; $155.00/night first 5 units; $21.00/night each additional unit; $70 day use
• a small open area near Jarvis Creek
• accommodates up to 20 to 26 units
• open from early May until first snowfall.

Athabasca Lookout Nordic Centre, $12.00 non-refundable reservation fee; $155.00/night first five units; $21.00/night each additional unit; $70 day use
• a rustic lodge located on a large grassy area, washroom facilities, and a gravel parking area for camping
• facilities include 33 km of trails (primarily cross-country ski trails), biathlon, luge run and a telemark hill
• open for group use from May until September only;
• shelter equipped with power.

RESERVATIONS
To reserve a group use area, please call Alberta Parks & Protected Areas Office from January through May at (780) 865-8395 or the Switzer Park Visitor Centre from May through September at (780) 865-5600. A non-refundable fee of $12 per reservation, plus the first night's fee will be charged as a deposit at the time of booking. For faster service please have your credit card ready.
